BPSEC joins Bayog Festival in Burgos, Pangasinan

In the Philippines, where diversity is woven into the fabric of the people’s daily lives, festivals serve as colorful tapestries that showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit. These celebrations draw both locals and tourists alike, offering a glimpse of traditions passed down through generations.

This is also the case for the Municipality of Burgos in Pangasinan which recently celebrated their 3rd Bayog Festival last May 12 to 18 with the theme “Rich Culture: Foundation of Progress and Unity”. The Bayog Festival in Burgos is a cultural celebration that showcases the local culture, traditions, and history of the town. It is named after bayog, a type of bamboo which is commonly found and a main source of livelihood in the area.

Burgos Pangasinan Solar Energy Corporation (BPSEC) supported and joined the Bayog Festival. The company believes that this event serves as a platform for the community to come together and celebrate their shared identity, history, and values. BPSEC has expressed its commitment in supporting and promoting the local culture.

Beyond the festival season, BPSEC continues to champion community initiatives throughout the year. Whether through educational workshops, community outreach programs, or collaborations with local schools, their commitment to sustainability remains unwavering.
